Deploying pyngers? Here are some useful pieces of information

So you're about to deploy your recently purchased Thyngs beacons (pyngers) into the wilderness.
Excited to get your customers interacting I bet, but before you do here are some key rules to follow.

Pyngers have varying ranges, longest being around 30 meters and shortest is around 5 meters. This information can be seen on top of the pynger, as displayed below.

With this in mind, ensure your pynger will be at a distance that will allow interaction to your target audience.

We have five colours to choose from: Orange, Blue, Green, Magenta and Gold.
Apart from looking nice, these colours are very important when deploying as they define the pyngers' signalling information.
Pyngers of the same colour should not be deployed in range of each other as they will cause interference.

It should also be noted that, like most Bluetooth based devices, interference can be caused by large objects that can stop the signals from passing through.
Because of this, when selecting locations to place your programmed pyngers, try to put them high up to maximise the distance the signal will reach without obstacles.

Also ensure that your customers have their Bluetooth turned on when entering the event area, as without it they will not receive the your pynger notifications.
Finally, ensure the cardboard tag from the pynger has been removed before deployment to activate the battery, otherwise the pynger will not start broadcasting.
