Does a new client receive a system generated email when a new case is entered?
Click on Clients and go to that particular client's profile. Look in the System Access area next to Receive EMails. If it says Yes, the client will receive an email when a new case is entered. If it says No, they will not.

I have three investigators working for me, but I have ten clients. Would a client be considered a staff member also?
No. Clients are unlimited. Often times only people you pay to work for you are considered users. In this example, you would have a total of 4 users: 1 Admin (You) and 3 Investigators.
Can clients go online and manage their entire case load this way, i.e. request cases, upload files, create updates, etc.?
Yes. Clients can assign cases, enter instructions, case notes, etc. They do not see anything you would not want them to see such as billing, invoices, internal notes.

My question is do we not have the option to input our client info without setting up a user name and password?
Yes. You do not have to allow clients to have access to the system. When creating a new client, simply leave the username and password fields blank.
Do clients count as users?
Q: Do clients count as users on the paid plans? A: No, you can have an unlimited number of clients. If you have 1 or 1000 clients, it would not affect the pricing or plans.
