How do I conduct a social media search in the system?

This search allows you to conduct a social media search on people across various platforms at once within the PI Direct Link system.



IMPORTANT:  In order to use this search, you must have a credit card on file.  To add a card, click on Settings.  Plans and Payment Info.  Enter your card information and click Update Card.

1. Click on the Social Search Tab in the Case Data Section

2. Enter the search criteria.  
  • You can search by additional criteria such as Phone, E-Mail, Birthday, Age, Job and School by clicking on the icons below the search button.
TIP:  The more common the name is, use additional search criteria to reduce the number of results.


3.  If you agree to the search, click Ok.  If you want to go back, change something or not run the search, click Cancel.

There is a cost of $5 for each search.    The searches conducted will be billed to you on the 15th of each month.

TIP:  Our research indicates private investigators are charging anywhere from $50 to $250 for this type of search.

4. The search is conducted and all matching results are displayed.  To generate a PDF Report, click Generate Report.
  • These results are based on your search criteria and may not be your subject.  
  • You can generate any of the reports for no additional cost

5. The reports will be generated.  You can continue working and do not have to remain on the current system page.  Once completed, the reports will appear in the Reports List on the Case Detail Screen
  • These reports do take a few minutes to generate and show up in the reports list.
  • After a few minutes, refresh the page or go back to the case details page is you continued working.
