What do the numbers that are displayed as results mean?
The numbers which IntenCheck displays as results represent a simplified way of showing category values on a scale from 1 to 100. This scale is used in addition to showing text values: “very low”,” low”, “normal”, “high” and “very high” in order to further differentiate the results obtained and can be very useful when checking for improvement in any area of the text.
The result displayed (between 1->100) next to each subcategory is generated by first taking into account the number of words used that belong to the selected subcategory, compared to the total number of words in the text. The values from the first comparison are then compared to the values from the selected language norm, after which a mathematical formula is applied to transform the values and display them on a scale from 1 to 100.
