New Feature

Indian Tax Credit Screening Questions

If the Location (business) address and Employee residence address are located on or near an Indian Reservation, the employee will be presented with a new page to gather their Tribal Membership details.

  • The employee will be asked the question below after completing the basic contact information (address) sections of the Application, Employee Onboarding, WOTC, and Reboarding interviews:

  • If the employee selects YES, they will be asked to provide more information.
  • If they select NO, the employee will continue through the questions as usual, according to your Company Setup workflow:

Why is collecting the Tribal Registration Information Important?

For an employee to qualify the Company for the tax credit, the employee or their spouse must be a registered member of an Indian Tribe. Efficient Hire can now provide you with a report of Indian Tax Credits earned by calendar year. To learn more, please contact your Account Manager!

For the Indian Tax Credit, you can claim up to 20% of the employees wages up to $20,000 yearly for a maximum possible annual credit of $4,000. The employee must live and work in or near the Indian Tax Credit zone.  For more information about this credit visit the IRS website; click the button below:
