Follow these step by step instructions to create a Checkerboard question.
1. From your top navigation bar, click on Content and then select Create Question.
2. Select the Student Action button and click on the Games button. Select the Checkerboard question and then click on the Create Question button.
3. Name your question in the space provided and click the Save button.
4. Click on the Blue Pencil to open the Rich Text Editor and enter your Question Prompt/ Instructions. You can add images and text in your desired font and style.
5. Add an optional stimulus in the space provided. Enter your stimulus directly in the space provided or click the Blue Pencil button to open your Rich Text Editor. You can add videos, audio, images, and passages in this section.
6. If desired, change the point value in the space provided. Click the Gear button to set up the question.
7. Choose the type of game you wish for students to play.
- Path Quiz: Students have to traverse the entire grid answering questions adjacent to each other till they reach the last box in the grid.
- Board Quiz: Students can choose to answer questions in any order in the grid
- Bingo Quiz: Students choose answers in the grid based on the questions asked.
For the first two types, you will have to enter the Question/Hint, the correct answer(s) and the text/image to be shown on the grid. The Bingo Quiz will need only the Questions and corresponding Answers.
Use the (+) button to add Questions and (x) button to delete Questions.
- You can also Enable Timer so that students are allowed only a certain amount of time to finish the game. Click on Done upon completion.
8. Tag learning standards to your question by clicking the Tags tab. For more information about Tagging Standards, click

9. Click the Show More button to see additional options. If desired, add a Rubric, Settings, Solutions, and Hints. For more information about these options, please click

10. Click the Save button after you have created the question.
