AssetManager Pro Security Overview
AssetManager Pro provides a range of security measures to control and ensure your data is safe across the Windows/Server based Application, Database and as part of our new online solution which includes access to relevant data as part of the AssetManager Pro Mobile Scan Apple iOS App.
The following provides some further details as to the security of the various components
Application Security (AssetManager Pro)
The AssetManager Pro Client Application is installed onto a Windows environment and therefore access is subject to the security of the workstations and/or server which supports it.
Access to the AssetManager Pro Client Application can be controlled via a Master Password (see below for encryption details) and Sub Passwords for restricted access can be established.

Database Security (AssetManager Pro)
Again the AssetManager Pro database is installed with the application onto a Windows OS environment and therefore access is subject to the security of the workstations and/or server which supports it.
The AssetManager Pro database is an Access database which is Password protected using 40-bit RC4 encryption (a feature part of MS Access).
Online/Mobile Access (AssetManager Pro Online/Mobile)
This is an optional function used to support the AssetManager Pro Mobile Scan App.
As part of that application - a small subset of AssetManager Pro data is securely syncronised (via HTTPS) online enabling secure access via the AssetManager Pro Mobile iOS Mobile Scan App.
Note: We only sync asset data applicable to the Asset Scanning and Counting process including Asset ID, Name, Location, Cost Centre, Custodian and Custom Attributes - NO asset financial data is sent or stored online.
Access to sync the data is controlled via the Application (and the relevant user control options)
Access to the Mobile Application is controlled via a Master Username and Password in addition user logins can be created
Our Servers are located in Australian centres
and housed on high end Dell and Equal Logic hardware. We subscribe
premium grade internet connectivity with redundancy so that the contents
are delivered fast and whenever they are sought.
