Overview


As part of the settings for an Asset is the Asset Calculation. This controls in effect when the depreciation for an Asset starts



 


There are three options available in AssetManager Pro including Daily, End Month, Mid Month and Full Month


NOTE: The Mid Month and Full Month are new to AssetManager Pro 2017 v6.
NOTE: Prior to AssetManager Pro 2017 v6 End Month was called Monthly


Calculation Options. What they do


The calculations options control when the depreciation will start from.

Daily will start from the Acquisition Date (or the Depreciation Start Date) of the Asset. 

For example if an Asset was acquired on the 11th of July 2017, depreciation would start from the 11th of July 2017

End Month will start from the START of the Next Month in which the Asset was acquired in.

For example if an Asset was acquired on the 11th of July 2017, depreciation would start from the 1st of August 2017


Mid Month will start from the MIDDLE of the Month in which the Asset was acquired in.

For example if the Asset was acquired on the 11th of July 2017, depreciation will start from the 15th of July 2017

Full Month will start from the START of the Month in which the Asset was acquired in.

For example if the Asset was acquired on the 11th of July 2017, depreciation will start from the 1st of July 2017
